I tested the bugger myself after my morning shave in my freezing Glasgow flat and wore it through the rain sleet and pub sessions. Woody with apple notes but does it actually deliver for normal folk or is it just fancy marketing shite?
Texture and first impressions
The texture is pure dead lush - a light balm that rubs in like a dream without any greasy film left on your skin like cheap supermarket crap. It sinks in fast even in our damp UK weather and the first hit of that crisp apple note is fresh as a pint on a sunny day which is rare as hen's teeth round here.
Then the woody bit warms up all cosy and manly but no lumberjack bollocks. First impressions had me laughing cos it's anti-pretension as fuck - smells expensive but doesn't try too hard. I was properly impressed and not just cos of the wine.
Wear and day-to-day use
Wearing it day to day it lasts a solid 6-7 hours even when you're dodging Glasgow rain or crammed on the tube. The apple-woody mix stays true without choking your mates at the pub which is a win. My other half sniffed me and said 'you smell decent for once' which is high praise.
It's perfect for normal routines - slap it on after shaving head to the shops or work and it keeps up without fading by lunchtime like most cheap ones. No reapplying every two seconds just get on with your chaotic life ya know?
Value and who it suits
At £34.02 it's cracking value especially with that 4.6 rating and #1 spot. Better than getting fleeced in department stores for the same vibe. This is for the working lad or even us lassies nicking it who want to smell good without the faff.
