UK Lips is a United Kingdom beauty price-comparison site. We list lip, eye, face, body, hair, nail and fragrance products with ranked picks, filters, and product pages that can show multiple merchants when offers share the same barcode (GTIN).

Where prices and offers come from
- Awin and other UK retailer feeds — product name, brand, price, image URLs and merchant links.
- Amazon (when GTIN-matched) — Creators API search and item data, with scrape fallback for discovery when needed. We create or refresh Amazon rows only when a GTIN is available.
- GTIN grouping — offers with the same barcode become one product card with multiple buy options.
- Images — local card images are required before products appear in category grids, so listings stay visual and useful.
How ranking works
Products with a positive rank can appear in hubs and listings. Ordering weighs feed signals such as ratings, reviews and offer quality. Marketplace star ratings on cards are usually feed data — not the same as an author review score on a dedicated review page.
Author reviews publish separately with a written verdict. Use both: feed ratings for shopper volume, reviews for a qualitative take.

Where do product ratings come from?
Ratings and review counts come from merchant and marketplace feeds where available (often Amazon when matched). We show them so you can weigh price against shopper feedback — they are not UK Lips editorial scores unless marked as an author review.
Do you earn affiliate commissions?
Yes. Buy links may be affiliate links. That does not change the prices we display or how we rank products. We aim to show multiple UK retailers when offers share the same GTIN.
Why do some products appear only after images download?
Category and section grids require a local product card image so listings stay useful. Products can exist in the catalog before images finish downloading; they appear once a card image is available.
How often is the catalogue updated?
Feeds and prices refresh through our pipeline (merchant policies, Amazon Creators where eligible, and Awin datafeeds). Editorial articles and author product reviews publish on a separate schedule.
