Sandalwood Oil
Sandalwood Oil is a luxurious, woody-scented essential oil prized in British skincare and fragrance for its calming aroma and gentle soothing properties. Extracted from the heartwood of the sandalwood tree, it is commonly found in facial oils, moisturisers, perfumes and hair treatments. It adds a rich, creamy scent while helping to comfort and condition skin and hair.
How it works in skincare
In cosmetics and skincare sandalwood oil functions as a natural fragrance ingredient and soothing emollient. Its light texture allows it to blend seamlessly into creams, serums and balms, where it helps soften the skin surface and supports the overall sensory experience of the product. The oil’s aromatic compounds provide a subtle woody note that is popular in clean beauty formulations and traditional British apothecary-style products.
