Right hen, I've been testing this Nails Inc Apricot Crush Nail Polish Set like my life depended on it after a few too many wines, and I'm here to spill the actual tea. Four shades in the box - pearl, peach, orange and dark brown - and I've slapped them on while dodging typical UK rain and rushing for the bus in Glasgow.

Grabbed it for £17.60 off Amazon instead of the full £22, and fuck me it's been a proper wee saviour for my at-home manis. No salon prices, just decent polish that actually does what it says without any pretentious bollocks.

Texture and first impressions

The texture is smooth as hell and that patented non-drip brush is a bloody genius - wide enough to cover the whole nail in one go without streaks or faffing about. One layer gives full coverage like the description promises, and it feels rich without being gloopy. The peach and orange shades are pure summer even when Britain's doing its usual grey shite outside.

First impressions? The wee mani station cap is dead handy for on-the-go touch-ups, and the formula doesn't pong like cheap stuff from the high street. Catwalk Calling pearl is lush and fancy, while Love in Leather brown surprised me by looking proper smart. It's that clean vegan stuff but I mainly care it applies like a dream.

Wear and day-to-day use

It wears like a trooper for 4-5 days before any wee chips appear, which is solid when you're typing reports, washing dishes and getting caught in Glasgow drizzle. Dries quick in the air with no UV lamp nonsense - perfect for my chaotic routine. Pop a top coat on and it lasts even longer without looking like a mess.

Day-to-day it's reliable as my best mate. The orange Already Trending shade is my new ride-or-die, brightens up my hands when I'm in wellies instead of sandals. Survived a night out, a rainy commute and still looked fresh. No major chips till day five, which beats the last stuff I got from Boots.

Value and who it suits

At £17.60 for four proper polishes it's decent value, especially when salon manis cost an arm and a leg every fortnight. Better than the merchant's £22 price tag and way ahead of basic high street ones that chip in two days. The 4.5 stars from 1222 reviews aren't lying - this delivers without the hype.

Suits busy lassies like me who want salon results at the kitchen table, TikTok trend fans, mums on the go or anyone sick of pretentious beauty shite. Great if you're female-founded brand loyal and after vegan options that actually work in real UK weather. Not for perfectionist pros maybe, but perfect for us normal folk.

Our verdict

4.5 / 5 Final take

This Nails Inc Apricot Crush Nail Polish Set is a proper wee winner. It does the job with zero fuss, looks banging and holds up to real life better than most. Grab yours at Nails Inc Apricot Crush Nail Polish Set - Apricot Crush and thank me later, hen.

Not flawless - the brown might sit in the drawer come midsummer - but for the price, the fun shades and that brush, it's a solid 4.5 from this Glasgow lass. Go on, treat your nails without breaking the bank.
