No7 Pro Artist Eyeshadow Palette Review: Honest UK Verdict
I picked up the No7 Pro Artist Eyeshadow Palette after seeing it sat at number one in eyeshadow on the site. For a tenner it seemed worth a proper go instead of the usual high street stuff that ends up in the bin after two uses.
Tested it over three weeks of typical Glasgow mornings and nights out in the rain. I stuck to my normal routine of slapping it on before the bus and here is what actually happened.
Texture and first impressions
The powder feels soft straight from the compact and does not turn into a cloud when you dip the brush in. I tried Candlelight first and it covered my lid evenly with good colour from one swipe without any dryness.
The wee dual ended brush is a nice touch that actually works for blending and lining. The case is slim enough to chuck in your bag for touch ups at the office or after a damp walk to the shops.
Wear and day-to-day use
It lasted through my usual day of meetings and dodging showers without creasing or fading much. By teatime the Warm Taupe in the crease still looked decent which is more than I can say for my old palette.
Built it up with Forest Gold for a quicker night look before heading to the pub. Stayed put after a couple of pints and a bit of chatting in the cold air outside.
Value and who it suits
At £10.17 from the No7 site or £12.95 in Boots it feels like decent value for 7.68g that will last months if you are not heavy handed. The five star rating from nine reviews matches what I found.
Suits the woman who wants four neutral shades for work that can go out later without buying ten different products. Good for beginners or anyone fed up with palettes that look pretty but perform like chalk.
4.5 / 5 Final take
This earns 4.5 out of 5 from me. It is reliable for everyday eye makeup without any pretentious fuss and the blendable formula makes it easy even when you are rushing.
Check it out at No7 Pro Artist Eyeshadow Palette if you need something solid that handles British weather and still looks good at the end of the day.
