La Roche-Posay Anthelios Body Mist SPF50 Review, Honest UK Verdict
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Suncare Ultra-Light Body Mist Spray Spf50+200 ml
£20.62
Right ya wee bastards, I've been testing this La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra-Light Body Mist SPF50+ like it's my full-time job through another pish UK summer of grey skies then sudden bastard sunshine. Grabbed it for £20.62 off Amazon instead of £27.50 at Boots and as your slightly wined-up Glasgow mate I'm here to tell you straight - it actually delivers without the usual sunscreen shite.
It's sitting at #3 in body mist and boasting 4.5 stars from 1400 reviews so I wasn't alone slathering it on. Specially for sensitive skin like mine that burns if you look at it funny, with a bit of soothing Thermal Water to keep the rage down. No nonsense, just a fresh mist that feels like nothing but does the job.
Texture and first impressions
First spray had me proper laughing - it's like getting hit with cold air from the fridge, so fuckin light and fine it barely feels like sunscreen. Dries in seconds on my pale Scottish pins with zero white cast or greasy film, just invisible and fresh like a decent body mist should be.
Compared to those heavy lotions that sit like cement this is pure joy. First impression was 'this cannae be SPF50+' but it is, and it doesn't make you feel like a slicked-up chip. Anti-pretension at its best, no spa bollocks just get-it-on-and-go.
Wear and day-to-day use
Day-to-day it's a lifesaver for reapplying on the go - chucked it in my bag for a sweaty park run with the weans and it went straight over my makeup without looking like a melted clown. Holds up through British weather that can't make its mind up, no stinging, no transfer under clothes.
Wore it during actual exercise and a rare sunny Glasgow day trip and it didn't budge or piss me off. Easy mist means you top up without faff, perfect for active cunts who hate slathering thick cream every two hours. Feels like a mate looking out for you.
Value and who it suits
At £20.62 for 200ml it's decent value especially when Boots are fleecing you for more. Lasts longer than cheap crap because the mist is so fine you don't waste it, and for sensitive skin that actually works without reactions it's worth the coins over supermarket rubbish.
Suits pale folk like me who burn easy, gym bunnies, busy mams chasing kids, or anyone who hates greasy sunscreen that feels like glue. If your skin's a diva or you're always on the move in our unpredictable weather this is your new ride-or-die.
4.5 / 5 Final take
Final verdict from this wine-soaked Scottish reviewer? 4.5 out of 5, pure dead brilliant for what it is. Light as fuck, actually usable daily and doesn't treat your skin like shite.
